Cost Structure for Fashion Academy Training in Color Analysis

The Fashion Academy skin tone determining system has perfected detecting skin tones to the point that those who are already trained in a color based business, easily learn the system.  Two hour classes held at American Board of Certified Haircolorist and the International Intradermal Cosmetics Expo have proven successful in the ease of training.  Stefanee Kelly, owner of Brow Gal, introduces the system to those in the beauty industry with two simple words, “Idiot-proof.”

Mary Petillo, ABCH certified hair colorist, said, “This system is much more accurate than those I have used previously. Clients can be identified and placed into the appropriate tone category with less guesswork. At FA classes, I have marveled at the diversity of nationalities and depth of skin tones that can be found in a single category, especially the Cool Reds. Yet, when the Determining Card is held next to each person’s face, the match was obviously correct. AMAZING!”

Each Skin Tone Determining Card displays skin tone, eye color, and hair color, includes grays to whites; all three of those markers will match.  Exceptions would be an incorrect applied hair color, illness (usually a yellowing to the skin, and sometimes the eyes, but the system will still correctly identify if the person is trained correctly), chemotherapy (a paler skin tone, however in most cases the person can still be correctly be identified), smokers (skin will be have a gray tint).

A coordinating Color Palette that shows the client over 120 colors that flatter their skin tone, “provides a valued additional service to the salon by teaching the client about her skin, and the colors to use for makeup and clothes,” notes Ted Cortese, owner, DiVa Colour Studio, The South’s Finest Hair Color Specialty salon – Vogue.

The appropriate haircolors that enhance a client’s appearance will necessitate fewer costly corrections and create a stellar reputation as the premier haircolorist in town. Their advanced skills will set them apart and facilitate the creation of a successful and profitable career,” adds Petillo.

Fashion Academy is now forming classes in Salons, Boutiques, and Beauty Schools.
